My interpretation
Interpretation by Aelira, aged 8
Interpretation by Michelle, aged 9
After a recent decision to begin homeschooling my children, we decided to scrapbook together to fulfil the art and craft side of their studies. We chose a challenge that included a strong journalling theme -
Bird is the word made use of the word 'courage' and included the above sketch so we decided this would be a great challenge to complete together. I spoke to the children about what courage means to them: Aelira decided it took her a lot of courage to dance on stage at Disneyland, placing her hands on a boys shoulders - being a very introverted and shy child I can understand how she struggled with that one! Michelle decided her moment of courage was riding down the hills at the BMX track, as she is always very cautious. I decided to combine my layout with the
Artastic challenge this month, to use black and white plus one other colour (red), inspiration picture shown below (and it is stunning). My layout is about my daughters gymnastics, and whether it takes her more courage to perform the skills or for us to support her dreams, knowing that we are sacrificing alot of time and money for something that may never lead anywhere.
