Another freaking scrappy challenge - The bucket list

This challenge really made me think! It involved a layout regarding your 'bucket list' of things you want to achieve before you kick the bucket. My photography is crooked again, but its late and I couldnt seem to get it right as usual.... The challenge is at:
http://another-freaking-scrappy-challenge.blogspot.ca/2013/03/1-march-2013-scrapbooking-challenge.html

This background paper just jumped out at me, so I made a very simple layout to incorporate the background and the list....

Materials used:

Creative Imaginations paper - dream big
Kaisercraft pink gelato paper pad 6.5" ( I think the little words are from bubblegum hills collection too)
Kaisercraft fairy tales paper  pad 12"
Little stars and not sure what brand the journalling tag is....

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch March #5 - Kutna Hora

I created this layout for Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch #5 website - sketch shown below:

http://www.kaisercraft.com.au/blog/saturday-sketch-5-2

I used the following materials:

Kaisercraft check in collection 12" paper pad
Kaisercraft little toot collection 6.5" paper pad
Ruby rock it lace
Creativ black paper
Foam sticker

Black with 2 March challenge - Girl

I created this layout for the March black with 2 challenge (layout using predominantly red white and black) at :

http://blackwith2challenge.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/winners-and-march-challenge.html

I didnt have too much in red and black so it was a little tricky! I like the way the Graphic 45 vintage swimmer pictures look with the main photo, but I really struggle at working with flowers...unfortunately leaves (prima) and flowers (kaisercraft) were one of few things I had in my stash to suit the scheme.

The photo is one I took at Denmark in 2009 but one of my favourites, as we were rather unimpressed by the famed little mermaid statue we thought wed try to recreate it ourselves, but the wind got in the way.

Scraptherapy March sketch challenge - Jazz queen

Scraptherapy is my local shop! I had no idea about their challenges but happy to play along..... the challenge is located at:
 http://scraptherapysessions.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/march-sketch-challenge.html

And the sketch is copied below - its absolutely gorgeous and was so difficult trying to do it justice, especially adapting it to 12x12"

Im so in love with these sugar plum fairy figures right now, will be devastated once Ive run out! They are from Graphic 45's Nutcracker Sweet collection (which I purchased in its entirety).

 I also used:

Background paper from American crafts Amy Tangerine
Papers by Prima romantique collection and Graphic 45nutcracker sweet
Tattered angels glimmer mist
Basic grey letters 'dasher'
Diamontes and twine from my stash.

Kraft it up March challenge

My photography (or lens?) is failing me again.... focus slightly out and too much light reflection, sigh

This layout was made for the Kraft it up March challenge at
http://kraftitup.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/kraft-it-up-mid-month-dt-reveal.html using the following sketch:

I was so impressed with this sketch and had a thousand ideas, but only found one piece of Kraft labelled cardstock.... unfortunately my ideas didnt translate quite so well to paper, probably doesnt help that I am rather lacking in the tools department! Well this is my rescued version - when all else fails just add bling. I think you almost need sunglasses to look at it - luckily my poor photography tones it down a little.

Materials used for this challenge:

Kraft Funday cardstock
DCWV stardust stack
Black card
Ribbonz ribbon
Teresa Collins on the edge shiny card
A bunch of random sparkly things I found whilst rummaging around.

Im actually really happy with the way this turned out! I used the following items in the layout:

Tattered angels chalkboard glimmer mist
Teresa Collins on the edge collection (cut out motif with wings)
Kaisercraft Little Toot paper pad 6.5"

WW1 March challenge

This  layout is for the March White with 1 challenge -
http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/ww1-march-challenge.html
I really struggled with this one, and I had to make two as the first was so woeful (will now go in the album as a double page layout)..... I had to create a layout using only white and brown, which included doodling ( the hearts in the right corner, and all the dots) I dont tend to have much in brown so I used Sandylions "tiki" (to represent New Zealand - the photos were taken at Buried Village, Rotorua), Sticko transparent stickers and a brown floral page from DCWVs endless summer stack, one of few pages remaining in that one! I borrowed the kids brown texta and thought and thought and thought - adding a few things here and there.

Again I really need to work more on getting the measurements and details right as something always seems to end up wonky when I cut/ stick or draw it! Time to improve my relationship with the ruler I think....

Just add ink #15 - Swan lake

My photography sucks, cant seem to get the layout without a slight diagonal!!! ..... but heres one I created for Just add ink #15 challenge
 http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/jai-scrap-15.html.
It was created from the sketch below, I kept this one very simple as the background page already suited really well.
I used:  Sandylion rouge de garance paper, creativ cardstock, Simple stories take a hike paper and Crafters letters.....

Challenge Me happy #42 - Guffaw

I created this layout for the Challenge me happy competition #42 at http://challengemehappy.wordpress.com/.... The challenge was to create a layout inspired by this picture:

        Challenge 42

The photo reminded me of the purple, white and beige paper I had so I began the layout from there. The caption reads: "There is a funny story behind this photo.... We were all having lunch at a nice restaurant in Budapest, the band was playing, and we awaited our food eagerly. Suddenly, from the Cafe next door comes a very loud and low laugh (the guffaw). Almost instantly, Oliver imitates the laugh just as loudly. The whole Cafe turns to look over. We had to suppress a giggle! The kids got a stern look, but it was one priceless moment."

Items used:

Forever in time letters
Craft concepts paper - sweet surprises
White, maroon and black cardstock DCWV
FABSCRAPS - Burlesque paper stack
American crafts knockouts paper punch

Saturday Sketch March #4 - Finale

I made this layout this morning for Kaisercrafts Saturday sketch competition (March #4 ). The photo was the last one taken from our cruise on Pacific Sun, at Noumea.
The sketch is shown below:

I used the following materials;

Another Freaking Scrappy challenge - Mid March 2013

Ok so apparently I need a blog to enter all these lovely scrapbooking design challenges I have just discovered..... so here we go! Might take some time to figure out how to use my photo editor, blog and linking but Im giving it a go......

This layout was based on the March sketch from Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge.  as shown below:
I used My minds eye 'lost and found' background with Tattered angels 'chalkboard' glimmer mist (which I managed to spray in excess - oops - no way to cover up that extra line...), DCWV Stardust stack, Thickers letters, washi tape and some of the kids craft accessories.
